​Weight Loss

Many clients struggle with weight loss because of the simple misconception that food is the enemy when trying to lose weight. This is why fad diets just don't work. At Olympian Bodies your trainer will educate you about the importance of a proper, healthy relatonship with food in acheiving your weight loss goals. You and your trainer will discuss any factors which may be inhibiting you from weight loss.

 

Factors such as social, economic, physiological, and psychological.

Topics including energy balance, yo-yo dieting, and metabolism will be covered to make sure you as a client understand how food can interact with the body in both positive and negative ways.

 

In addition to the workouts your trainer will prescribe for you, your progress will be monitered through the maintenance of a personal food log. To determine your estimated caloric needs a prediction will be made of your resting metabolic rate (RMR). This will aid in determining a proper diet tailored to suit your personal needs. Before beginning any program a measure of each client's Body Mass Index (BMI) is calculated as a more accurate way to chart progress, therefore optimizing results.
