The key to a successful exercise program is proper diet. No matter what your fitness goals, whether you are looking to lose weight or gain muscle, if you aren't eating properly you are missing a major component in your routine. Your diet accounts for 65% of your fitness results. Want a flat stomach? All the crunches in the world won't melt away belly fat. The secret is in your diet. Your trainer at Olympian Bodies has all the knowledge to get your diet back on track. Eating healthy doesn't have to be boring. There are tons of great food choices and healthy alternatives to your favorite foods to keep you satisfied. Your trainer will teach you the tricks to beating cravings and staying fuller longer by showing you the food combinations to eat for powerful body fuel to aid your workouts. How much and how often you eat is also important to avoid bingeing on the bad stuff. Your trainer will take the guess work out of meal planning, food prep, and grocery shopping by crafting a nutrition package specific to your needs and goals.

Your initial consultation will include determining your daily caloric intake requirement, fat intake, and protein needs. A thorough review of the glycemic response will also be discussed to raise awareness of sugar's effects on the body, specifically regarding hunger and satiety. This is useful when the goal is weight loss, though glucose also plays a big part in mass gains if a client is educated in proper food combinations to stimulate muscle growth.

As part of the nutrition component your trainer will show you how to keep a food journal of your daily meals and snacks. You will be asked to make note of any issues during the week, including cravings. Your trainer will also go over some preventative measures against poor food choices at events such as weddings, reunions, parties, and eating out, where it is easy to make poor food choices.
